We are pleased to invite you to the 2012 ACM International Conference on Interactive Tabletops and Surfaces (ITS’2012).ITS 2012 brings together researchers and innovators from a variety of backgrounds including engineering, computer science, design, and social sciences. The program reflects the diversity of ideas and perspectives that make up the ITS community. It includes:
- A plenary by Pattie Maes (MIT Media Lab), "Thinking outside of the (computer) box"
- 30 research papers on:
- multi-touch and gesture-based interfaces
- 3D interaction
- interactive surfaces in education and for children
- multi-display environments
- non-flat surfaces
- 18 Demos and 21 posters reception at the MIT Media Lab
- A closing keynote by Andy Wilson (Microsoft Research), "Analog Interactions"
- Workshop on Beyond Flat Displays (Sunday prior to main event)
- Four tutorials on non-flat surfaces, multitouch development, sketching the user interfaces, and high-performance ITS technologies.
